Have you ever come across an intimidating animal that has the ability to take you into their claws or jaws?
No? Me either. But if I did I’d hope I’d consider the words I’m about to share.
Learning to stand still when we would rather run and hide is a work of lifetime, in dire circumstances it is likely the bravest thing anyone can do and the truth is it could save our life.
We live in a society which runs ahead doesn’t consider the cost of consequences and even then we cast blame on others for our downfall.
But what if learning to stand still is exactly what’s needed.
I grew up with a significant hearing loss and because I refused to wear hearing aids there was a lots of yelling. I had a lisp and a stuttering impediment and I was sensitive to how others treated me. Eventually in middle school speech therapy taught me techniques to communicate without stuttering and later in life I began wearing hearing aides full time which noticeably lessoned my sensitive feelings.
As a child I battled being heard because I couldn’t hear, how ironic,
I share all this to say that until you learn to BE STILL and know that Jesus is GOD. You will continue to battle and you will lose.
All those who do not accept that the God of the Universe has a plan of Salvation for reconciliation to Him are going to be lost to the prince of darkness. This is not a fictional theme that is make believe, this is real and even though you can’t see there’s a battle over your life even now. Eph 6:12
You need to stand still in prayer.
You need to stand still in The Holy Word of God.
You need to stand still in repentance “I’m sorry Lord, I am a sinner and I need you to save me.”
But especially You need to stand still even if your the only one.
And be encouraged in love that you can and will receive the full assurance of understanding to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both the Father and of Christ. He wants you for Himself. He will make a way for anyone who is looking to Him the Author and Finisher of your faith.
Bravery is much like faith Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
That is what it looks like when noones watching.
In Christ love , Amen
