If I could tell anyone just starting to find their way towards The Way, The Truth and The Life. And they are wanting to know what they need to do next?
I would encourage them to just take a breath, and know that He is already there.
The Son of God, Christ Jesus has longed for this moment and is more then ready to answer all their questions. It will take time and they will need to trust the process, it is a work of eternity.
But that it will happen in the best timing possible, His timing. Another thing to know is this: He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Its like He says in Matthew 7 as soon as we seek He is ready to answer the call. You only need to seek and pray.
How do you pray? Well the son of God Himself gave us the script, and as He was sharing with the disciples He told them exactly how to approach God. Teaching us to call Him Father, because He is. And when we want to expand upon that there’s so many more prayers in the Word, He also gave us a Book of Prayers in Psalms it’s filled with all the prayers, the good, the bad and the ugly cry prayers, so loving and good that He gave us words we do not have.
His Word inspired by the Holy Spirit which He promises will instruct us and teach in the way we should go will give us light for the next steps on the path to His Kingdom.
So breath, He will lead us all the way.
Meanwhile get a good journal (spiral notebook works), a daily devotional this one for free and a bible you don’t mind marking up because trust me you will be writing in all kinds of side notes and it’s also interesting to look back when He leads you into some of the same areas again and again. Most importantly ALWAYS pray before you study and ask for discernment.
