In September we took a trip to the Olympic National Forest and stayed on Lake Sutherland in an Airbnb named “snug harbor”.
On the morning of this picture I woke up early to a hymn on my mind “Jesus paid it all ” singing this turned into “tis so sweet to trust in Jesus” as I walked into the dark dining room and sat down at a little retro style dinette table, you know the one with the rounded metal corners with the vinyl top that most likely graced every household in the 60’s, this place reminded me of a grandparents lake house. Very nostalgic.
Anyways, as I sat down looking out I quickly realized I would have a welcoming view of the lake just outside from a picture perfect window when the sunrise arrived. I flipped open my bible and noticed my reflection from the picture window. Seeing the light right above my head was illuminating the place I sat giving me the ability to see the words in the darkness so that I would be able to learn and discern His words. A visual I would not soon forget was right in front of me, I took a moment to record this in my brain “let me never forget Lord that your lamp is a light to my path ” and now as I was still humming /singing I looked down at the Bible to see it opened to the book of Isaiah chapter 12 with the caption
“A Hymn of Praise”
Can’t make this up.
My immediate thought first was absolute amazement and then: “I am here for this Lord you have met me here like a hug in SNUG HARBOR and I will praise YOU!”
Continuing to read His Word I see clearly “though You were angry with me Your anger is turned away and You comfort me, behold my God is my Salvation, I will trust and not be afraid. For Yah is the Lord my strength and song He also became my Salvation!
As I continuing reading I see where we can claim the Words given to Isaiah to share for anyone who choses and is willing.
Therefore in that day I will draw water from the wells of Salvation. (Like that lake outside the window ~there’s plenty!)
And in that day I will say “Praise the Lord call upon His name declare His deeds among the peoples make mention that His name is exalted. SING to the Lord for He has done excellent things. This is known in all the Earth ~Cry out and shout Inhabitants of Zion ~ For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst! ~Amen ( He sure is..)
